SmallChoices app for iPhone and iPad

The SmallChoices App has been commissioned from Hannah Bruce and Company, by Hoxton Hall.

SmallChoices uses BLE beacon technology to enable a Nineteenth Century Music Hall to respond to visitors presence through light and immersive sound, and demonstrates a unique approach to heritage interpretation.

Challenging conceptions of what a heritage tour can be, A Collection of Small Choices is a pioneering artistic experience for visitors to Hoxton Hall. A unique journey for one person at a time, the SmallChoices App transforms your smartphone or tablet into a key for a hidden doorway. Surf Hoxton Hall’s history in the part-fictional (but wholly unruly) company of characters inspired by the Hall’s archives.

Having downloaded the App, on arrival at Hoxton Hall visitors put on their headphones, open the App, and BLE technology installed in the building communicates with the App to trigger sound and light as visitors explore the building at their own pace.
